Zoya Svetova

Zoya Svetova is a writer and journalist based in Moscow. She is a contributor to the independent Russian newspaper Novaia gazeta and has worked in the Moscow offices of Radio France, France 2 and Libération, as well as other French-speaking media outlets like L’Obs and Ouest-France. A strong defender of human rights, she has been awarded numerous prizes for her work in journalism. She is the author of the documentary novel The Innocent Found Guilty (unavailable in English) that examines the mechanisms in place for imprisoning the political opposition in Russia today.
