Biography
Simon Froehling, born in 1978, is a Swiss-Australian writer and dramaturge established in Zurich. His work includes over a dozen theatre plays as well as the novels Lange Nächte Tag (Bilger Verlag, 2010) and Dürrst (Bilger Verlag, 2022), which was nominated for the 2022 Swiss Book Award. Among other prizes, he was awarded the Elisabeth Gerter Prize and a Heinz Weder Recognition Prize. He has received funding from the Canton of Aargau’s Board of Trustees, the Cultural Foundation of Appenzell Outer Rhodes, the Canton and City of Zurich as well as the Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia.
